CNN.com is the most popular news web site in the United States. The iCNN iPhone application is a custom web browser designed to list and display the all of the iPhone/iTouch compatible stories published by CNN in the last 24 hours. It displays the title, summary, and time stamp of the stories in a scrollable list that iPhone and iTouch users prefer. The iCNN Reader saves the story list and your position on the list when you select a story to read. This saves you all the time that a regular browser would take as it reloaded the starting page and allows you to read the stories as quickly as possible. In our tests, once you have read two or more stories you then you have saved time over other browsers. Both the story list and the story viewer can be used in landscape mode. The story viewer features a "Share Story" button so that you can email a friend or friend(s) a link to the story without leaving the iCNN reader. The story list features a "Refresh" button so that you can reload the list and update the time stamps on the stories. Please remember the iCNN Reader story list is the equivalent of six to eight web pages worth of stories from CNN so it does take a few seconds to load initially. After that, because the list is retained, you can reload and scroll the list extremely quickly. When you choose a story to read it should load at the same speed or faster than any other web browser.
